Both academic performance and extracurricular performance are important for a student. But for me, I personally think extracurricular performance is more important, because firstly I do think our society needs the young generation to be successful after college, not just within the four years of college, so if you can only score high in exams, that’s simply not enough. Besides, extracurricular activities offer a lot of previous experiences and fascinating opportunities. For example, the Model UN offers the opportunity to go abroad to attend some conferences. And finally, you can make a lot of friends sharing the same interest through these activities. And I think that’s very important, because maybe someday, you will just have to depend on these friends.
