Today's business idiom is… ''High flier.”For example: ''She's a real high flier… she's advancing quickly in this company.”

“High flier'' is used to describe a successful or an up-and-coming person. A high flier is also someone who is very good at what they do, someone who learns quickly and  getpromoted faster than others in the same department or company.This idiom is usually used in business but not solely.

Other examples may include:

“High fliers usually get the top jobs in businesses.”“Successful companies employ many high fliers.”“These days, high fliers quickly become managers.”

However, something to remember…If someone is good at their job alone

we do not call them ''high fliers.''The person needs to be ambitious and career-minded.
